Edward F. Lange, Jr.

Edward F. Lange, Jr. is BRE’s executive vice president, chief operating officer and serves on the company’s board of directors. He joined the company in 2000, as the company’s chief financial officer, and has held the COO position since 2007.

As COO, Lange is responsible for the operational leadership of the company, including the asset management platform and all corporate service functions.

Lange has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate, healthcare and financial services industries. Prior to BRE, he served as chief financial officer of Health Care REIT, Inc. from 1996 to 2000. Lange was a senior vice president of finance and a member of the executive management team of the Mediplex Group, Inc. and affiliated companies from 1992 to 1996. From 1984 to 1992, Lange was an investment banker with the Advest Group, Inc.

Lange holds a bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Massachusetts, and an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut.
